Dear Player,
As you’re fully aware, education, as a prevention strategy, seeks to help prevent athletes and their entourage from doping, intentionally or unintentionally, and to promote behaviour in line with the values of clean sport.
Considering the above and in line with the latest World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regulations, It is now mandatory for all professional athletes and competitors in WSF World Championship events to have successfully completed the International-Level Athletes Education Program on the WADA’s Anti-Doping Education Learning Platform (ADEL)
To successfully complete the e-learning course, you must take the final test at the end of the course and obtain a final score of at least 80% (you will not be limited in the number of attempts). This means you can retake the final test if you fail to obtain 80%.
The course is available in a number of languages and can be taken anywhere with an internet connection, at any time, and over a series of sessions, with each session being saved until the next visit.
Here are the steps to follow to meet your obligation:
- Step 1: Access and register on the ADEL elearning platform with your full name, as written on your ADAMS registration.
- Step 2: Go to ADEL Academy and select the International-Level Athletes Education Program in your preferred language.
- Step 3: Complete the course (10 modules) and take the final test at the end of the course.
- Step 4: Go to the “Achievements” section and make sure you have passed the course and received your certificate of completion.
- Step 5: Download the certificate of completion, save it, and send it to the relevant person(s): your National Administrator for WSF Championships participation or PSA Office for players on Professional Tour. RTP players please send a copy to [email protected] and [email protected].
Assistance:
- WADA has created the ADEL Helpdesk here available in different languages
- Please do not hesitate to liaise with your respective National Anti-Doping agency for further assistance or contact [email protected] if you need specific support completing the e-learning course. Note that information will be kept confidential and not shared outside the designated individuals.
Education remains the first and most important tool to ensure you and the athletes’ community are properly informed and our sport can demonstrate its fight for a clean sport. Completing the ADEL programme is essential to remain in compliance with the WADA Code as we enter the review of our Code of Compliance.
As an International-level athlete, it is vital to lead by example and meet your requirements according to the timeline.
We thank you for your commitment to a clean sport and do not hesitate to reach out to us should we need to provide additional clarification.
