While Dick Lau claimed a fourth Hong Kong National title in a row, Joey Chan collected her first when she beat defending champion Annie Au in the final at the Hong Kong Squash Centre, but both needed five games to seal their titles.
Chan beat Au 11-5, 1-11, 8-11, 11-9, 13-11 while Lau beat Max Lee 12-10, 5-11, 13-11, 3-11, 11-9.
In the 3rd/4th play-off of the men’s and women’s championships, Tong Tsz-wing beat Liu Tsz-ling 11-7, 11-9, 11-7 while Anson Kwong beat Leo Au 11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 11-6.
